Christians if this universe is made for our enjoyment why does it behave in a manner indifferent to human whim?

God created this world without death and illness. His entire creation was to glorify Him. The first family, our ancestors, rebelled against God in the attempt to become like gods themselves. God had clearly told them beforehand what would happen to them if they disobeyed His one and only rule. They chose to ignore his warning, throwing off the restraint of health and life and good, bringing about the evil and pain and death we see today. Before that day, no blood was spilled. God sent His Son to take the penalty for the sins of His people. With His death and resurrection, Jesus took the eternal consequences of sin away from those who would follow Him. It is humanity who introduced death into the world. And, yes, there is still death in this world. It is the inheritance our ancestors have left to us. But God, in mercy, provided a way of forgiveness and life, His Son Jesus Christ.
