Same thing happened to me in high school. A week before our national cheerleading competition my pinkie was broke in half. They had to do surgery on it and I had to wear a cast that went all the way up my elbow. I was co captain of the squad, and honestly, one of the 5 decent cheerleaders on the squad. I told them to cut mine off, too. I was hysterical when I had to sit and watch my squad perform without me. I still can't use the finger. It doesn't bend or straighten and I hit it on everything because it just sits there all crooked. They might as well have cut it off!

No insurance for ACL tear....?

I was told by a hospital that I have an ACL tear. The doctor was able to pull my knee out quite a bit. In their opinion, it was a bad one. Problem: I have no ins. and no one will accept me because I have a preexisting problem. I called a few places, price wise will cost me around 100 dollars to just see the doc. More for the MRI and of course more for surgury...was told it would lead there no matter what. So I offered payment for the inital visit. Nope have to have it up front. It is good but be careful not to be too descriptive. Descriptions really help the reader but if it goes on for a while than the reader will become bored and skip over it. I know that's what I do when I see too much description. Also I agree with the nini, all that mix of similes and metaphors are confusing. But other wise, good job! She is 7 months old, and very skinny and small, but she was always that way. My friends joke that she hasn't grown any and they say she is a bag of bones. I need help with money.?

Okay, I don't know how to budget. Since last month I've been spending lots of money on clothing. When I got my taxes back last week I spent majority of it on clothing. Now that college is coming up I was making a plan to save up money for text books even if I got a book voucher. Now I don't have a car or license (kinda glad I don't right now) but I did lower my phone bill a few months back by saving $8 on my bill instead of paying my usual $100. So now I pay about $92 and I get paid by my school to work my vocational job. But I'm graduating next week so I will no longer be a student there anymore. I'm thinking about cutting off my internet on my phone since I have internet at home. But that will bring me to $85. Book vouchers at my college go from $120- $450. I was told that I should start buying my own groceries because my mom is kinda struggling and she doesn't charge me rent. I've been working at a supermarket for 2 years now and I got a raise, but not too much. I now get paid $8.55 an hour from Monday- Saturday. Sundays I get paid $12.45. Idk if I should get another job on the side as well or ask if I can go full time until the fall???

Why do the free minds of philosophers seem to stationary themselves with someone elses philosophies?

I constantly see Buddhists and Krishna and related philosophically religious views being pushed into answers. Isn't philosophy supposed to guide you to logical conclusions through the education of its different levels of spirituality? Thus giving you the tools to find your own personal answers? I thought philosophy was supposed to make you think for yourself, not tell others what to believe when they have to question their reality. Using your background to help guide is one thing, but telling an asker that some philosopher said this and then created a whole religion based on it, they must be right and you should become part of their belief system. And yet I see a lot of people on here disrespecting Christians for the same thing all in one breath. Maybe I'm wrong, but it just doesn't seem like that is what the forefathers of philosophies intended. I thought they sought enlightenment through logical thinking, not dogmatic oppression. One view from a thousand years ago is not enough.

So, early this morning, around 5:30, my mom woke both my grandmother and I up because she had a serious pain coming from her belly on. We called the paramedics because she said it got worse and soon after that, they came. A man and a woman. They were checking her and all that and then instructed her to drink some hot seltzer water. I asked the man, "Sir? What's wrong with my mother?" and he just said, "I don't really know." and then before all that, I had searched on the computer for belly on pains. is important to follow the doctor's advice. You aren't going to keep him off solids forever, and actually if he is tolerating solid foods (By this I mean that he isn't vomiting everything up) then you can start giving them to him again. When a child is vomiting and has diarrhea the biggest worry is dehydration. Make sure he's drinking plenty of fluids, and if he still can't keep anything down after 24 hours then take him to an urgent care center or to the emergency room for IV fluids.

i had the same problem.. i bought some and completely forgot i had them.. what i did was soak them in water for a couple days... if they started growing roots then i planted them... i actually had most of them that turned out really pretty.... i only threw like 3 bulbs away out of 15.....i would try that and if you get roots then plant them make sure you plant them roots down or your plants will grow crooked.. good luck... keep the water level up and in some sun light! good luck.. dont give up with out a fight!

Hi, I am thinking about traveling the deep south (Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee) on a blues cruise (love the music, culture etc). I am from England and was planning on doing this trip next year when turn 21. 1994 Accord what type of OBD?

On my 1994 Accord I have found the blue plug 2 pin data link connection (and there is another orange 6 pin connection next to the data link also and don't know what this is). From what I see this model has no OBD 2. What is wrong with me?!!!!?? Night sweats, fatigue, aches, and weight gain!?

I've recently gained 8 pounds, which is odd, I'm a healthy woman 24 about to be 25 next week. I am on my treadmill almost everyday, I'm very active at my job and eat healthy. The past 3 weeks or so I've noticed a lot of nights I am having night sweats. I am soaked when I wake up at night. Another thing I've noticed is joint pain and some body aches here and there. I literally feel like an old woman when I get up from the couch. My hips and knees hurt! When I ran yesterday on my treadmill I just wanted to slouch over and my legs hurt so bad I felt so fatigued. A few years back they found a cyst and nodule on my thyroid (thyroid problems seem to run in my family) but about 6 months ago I had my T3, T4, and TSH all checked and they were normal. I have very bad anxiety and I'm on Zoloft for depression anxiety. My doc's don't ever listen. I'm starting to worry that something is seriously wrong. Can anyone help?

No one can figure out my symptoms, seeing a neurologist who thinks I might have Stiff person syndrome, help?

I have been getting painful spasms in my foot (sometimes both feet) for almost 2 years every time I try to walk more than 1 or 2 blocks. I have had blood work and MRIs of my spine and feet, and nothing. Pain meds don't help and the spasms don't bother me at night or when I'm sitting/laying down. My neurologist thinks I might have SPS even though I tested negative for the antibodies. He just put me on Lyrica and no idea if that will help. It has been really debilitating and depressing. I think you are getting ahead of yourself in some ways. If you want to move south I say "do it". You never know what could change in a couple years, but you may regret never taking the chance of living where you want. My boyfriend and I live 3hrs away from him family and he previously lived out of the country, but he is still close to everyone. So, I think if you are close to your family you will stay close even over a great distance. I think it's nice to stay close to a person's family, but your family might feel bad if you didn't live out your dreams because of them.

Back to the financial meltdown for just a minute. 75% of people calling the Capitol Hill switchboard have asked Congress not to bail out anybody. This country doesn't need Wall Street to survive. Wall Street has made it clear over the last two years that they need us more than we need them. Yes, we probably would have to endure a two to three year recession, but that would be nothing compared to the ten to twenty year depression that will ensue thanks to this goliath government bail out of $700,000,000,000 that is not even including the over $300,000,000,000 that has already been spent to bail out Freddie, Fannie, Bear-Stearns, and other failed small institutions over the last year. I also promise to not attempt in any way to change the law as it stands right now concerning any of your civil rights and would only select Supreme Court Justices that were true moderates. They would have to go through the most intensive vetting process ever seen to even be considered to a long list. I would do everthing in my power to get all political parties to start working together in a bipartisan manner for the sake of this nation or would actively support third parties that showed they would do so. So how about that write in on the first Tuesday in November, no chance huh?

Car overheating question?

I'm looking at buying a car from a friend, but when I drove it for about 30 mins, it overheated and the water was boiling in the radiator. He's now told me it's fixed and has said it was the carburettor. As I don't know anything about it, I thought I'd see if I could get an answer here before I go any further. I'll take it to a mechanic before purchase of course, but would be interested to know if a faulty carb would cause that. Thanks

OK so it seems that I have always been attracted to girls that either had no interest in me or only wanted to be friends. Army mandatory meal-plan institutionalism?

Alrighty here's the deal I'm a soldier on Ft. Lee 109th living in the barracks. The dfac is horrible. The food they cook is literally unedible. They mostly serve , two times a week the mainline will be nothing but chicken. I hate chicken but i'll eat it anyway since i'm hungry and woe and behold it's not even cooked all the way. It happens every fricken time. The only thing I will eat from there is the burgers which are good if you put enouph stuff on them. Since arriving here in fort lee i have gained 20 pounds, am constantly having stomach problems and getting constipated. I tried talking to my 1SG but he says because i live in the barracks i have to be on the meal plan. So in addition to paying 295.83 every month for food i don't eat i'm paying out of pocket for anything that i can cram into an itty bitty refrigerator and it's about to put me into debt. Anyway my question is this, isn't forcing me to spend my money on the dfac institutionalism which is unconstitutional?

if it is an open barrel type, without an actual bottom, and you put it on the cement, eventually you will get moss growing around the bottom to a certain extent, so in a dirt corner of your yard close to where you will be using the compost would be the best. Don't forget you will have to carry the composted material from the barrel to the area :)
