I'm looking for a database for brief descriptions and uses of all the elements, does anyone know any websites?

We have a chemistry project in which we choose one element from each family and summarize its characteristics. I wouldn't want to go through dozens of websites looking for information. I also would like avoid a page long bibliography. I'm sure there's a site out there where your can find basic information on each element. Does anybody know of such a website? Thanks! Any help would be much appreciated!
