Is a absent father who does not pay child support entitled to visitation?
My soon to be ex husband left the state during court proceedings to live another state across country. At that point he stopped paying child support for a month. Then in oct of that year he paid each week 1/2 of what the courts said he was suppose to pay. November came and all payments stopped. 7 months later still no payments. Now Ex husband decided to move back to our home state. Within two days hes asking for visitation for the whole weekend. What are the laws about this. Is he entitled to visitation altho hes not paying child support.? I have no problem with visitation once child support and health insurance is covered. Im not even touching on the back child support and the what the court ordered. Does he have that right to just pop up and demand visitation after being a selfish inconsiderate self absorbed wanna be father? Mind you he didnt come back for the kids. He came back cause he had no job and his g/f and himself broke up.
