Question about Sailor Moon?

Ok, so I used to be obsessed with Sailor Moon years ago. One thing I never fully understood though is the part about the future Crystal city and Rini and all that. I know Rini is their future daughter... but isn't Crystal Tokyo set like 1,000 years into the future? So... she's not their daughter for another 1,000 years or what? Does that mean their future selves are their reincarnated selves?
