Why do some religious people keep using the fine tuning argument even though it has been thoroughly debunked?

As it’s been pointed out numerous times, the fine tuning argument is essentially an argument from ignorance. There is no careful reason backed up by evidence and experiments; it’s just an emotional plea for people to overlook the complete lack of evidence and believe in a god. People who use this argument start from the biased position of, “There is a god,” and they look for evidence that confirms this belief for them ignoring the evidence that proves the universe is essentially random and chaotic in nature. Is there any hope for the people who use this woefully flawed reasoning to confirm their insane beliefs?
